What is the best way to cure psoriasis?

The best way you can eradicate psoriasis is thru education, prevention and ultimately, cure.

Education

What is psoriasis?

Psoriasis is the body's violently aggressive immune system response to an allergen.

To clarify, say for example you have three people who all happen to have an allergy to peanuts. One person may develop an itchy tongue when they eat peanut butter, another may develop an itchy rash or inflammation, the third person may experience an extreme anaphylactic response and perish.

Psoriasis is essentially an example of a moderate to severe immune response.

These three outcomes represent three different immune responses to an allergen. One is mild, another moderate and the last example was severe.

The itchy rash (a dermatologic response to allergens) may be considered a moderate immune response in this example.

Prevention

To prevent psoriasis, you should first consult with an allergist to determine what food, chemical, or airborne allergy you may have.

Once the allergy is isolated, either remove the allergen (if possible, ie in a food or pet dander, etc) or take an antihistamine to reduce your immune system response to the allergen (ie if allergen is airborne such as mold or pollen, etc.)

Cure

If a flare up occurs before an allergen can be isolated, use over the counter hydrocortisone cream to reduce mild irritation. Also, to prevent infection you should always use any topical steroid treatment that has been prescribed.

Once the flareup has subsided, use an emollient such as Zaybix Organics Restorative Face and Body Cream to relieve the dry skin patches that result following a flareup.

If you can manage the allergens, your psoriasis will be cured and will no longer return.
